Protection of personal data

Privacy-sensitive data, or personal data, is processed through our webshop. Alanredshop considers careful handling of personal data to be of great importance. Personal data is therefore processed and secured carefully by us.

In our processing, we comply with the requirements set by privacy legislation. This means, among other things, that:

Alanredshop is the controller for the data processing. In this privacy statement, we explain which personal data we collect and use, and for what purpose. We recommend you read it carefully.

Use of personal data

When using our webshop, we obtain certain data from you. This may be personal data. We only store and use the personal data that you provide directly to us, in the context of the service you have requested, or where it is clear at the time of provision that the data is being supplied to us for processing.

We use the following data for the purposes stated in this privacy statement:

• Phone number
• Billing address
• Email address
• Payment details
• Gender
• Date of birth

Registration

For certain parts of our webshop, you must first register. After registration, we store the personal data you provided under the username you chose. We store this data so that you do not have to fill it in again each time, and so that we can contact you regarding the performance of the agreement.

We will not disclose the data linked to your username to third parties, unless this is necessary for the performance of the agreement you enter into with us, or if this is legally required. In the event of suspected fraud or misuse of our webshop, we may hand over personal data to the competent authorities.

Portal access

With our portal, you can access a management environment where you can set, provide, and change matters yourself.

Order processing

When you place an order with us, we use your personal data to process it. If necessary for proper handling, we may also disclose your personal data to third parties. You can read more about this later in this privacy statement.

Advertising

In addition to the information on our website, we may also inform you about our new products and services:

• by phone.

Contact form and newsletter

Through our webshop, we offer the option to ask questions using a contact form, for which you are asked to fill in various details in order to handle your question. You choose yourself which details you provide. The data you send us is retained for as long as needed, given the nature of the form or the content of your email, for a complete response and handling of it.

We offer a newsletter through which we want to inform interested parties about our products and/or services. Each newsletter contains a link that allows you to unsubscribe. Your email address is automatically added to the list of subscribers.

Location data

If necessary for the service, we may collect location data (GPS) from you. Your consent is requested for this at the relevant moment.

These (location) details may also be stored and processed by the provider of, for example, navigation/mapping software such as Google Maps, but the data may also be used by, for example, Google or Apple themselves. We have no influence over this. We recommend that you read the relevant privacy statements of the respective providers.

App store

The app that provides the service was downloaded via a third-party app store. We have no influence over which personal data the provider of this processes, or for what purpose. We recommend that you read the relevant privacy statements of the respective providers.

Publication

We do not publish your customer data.

Advertisements

Our webshop displays advertisements.

Disclosure to third parties

We may pass your data on to our partners. These partners provide tailored advertisements based on your personal data. These partners are involved in the performance of the agreement. These partners may use your data for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies

Our webshop uses cookies. Cookies are also placed by third parties engaged by us.

When you visit our webshop for the first time, a notice is shown explaining why we use cookies. Your continued use of our webshop is regarded by us as consent to this use of cookies.

You are free to disable cookies via your browser. Please note that our website may then no longer function optimally.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to track how visitors use our webshop. We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google to make arrangements about the handling of our data. Furthermore, we allow Google to use the information obtained through Analytics for other Google services, and finally, we have IP addresses anonymized.

Security

We take security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorized access to personal data. In particular, we take the following measures:

• Access to personal data is protected with a username and password;
• We use secure connections (Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL) through which all information between you and our website is shielded when you enter personal data;
• We keep logs of all requests to access personal data.

Retention periods

The personal data described above is retained for as long as necessary to process your orders, including warranty purposes. After that, we retain data for a maximum of one year for the statistical purposes described. The data is then deleted, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention (such as the statutory seven-year retention obligation for payment data).

Third-party websites

This privacy statement does not apply to third-party websites that are connected to our webshop through links. We cannot guarantee that these third parties handle your personal data in a reliable or secure manner. We recommend that you read the privacy statement of these websites before using them.

Changes to this privacy statement

We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy statement. It is advisable to consult this privacy statement regularly, so that you are aware of these changes.

Access to and amendment of your data

For questions about our privacy policy or questions regarding access to and changes in (or deletion of) your personal data, you can contact us at any time using the details below.

If you wish to access the personal data that Alanredshop has recorded about you, or if you wish to change data because it is incorrect or incomplete, or wish to have it deleted or shielded, you can contact Alanredshop by email via Paul, at info@alanredshop.com. Alanredshop will inform you within four weeks which personal data it processes concerning you, and whether and to what extent it will or can comply with any request for deletion, shielding, or correction.

To prevent misuse, we may ask you to identify yourself adequately. If it concerns access to personal data linked to a cookie, you must include a copy of the cookie in question. You can find this in your browser settings. If the data is incorrect, you can ask us to change or delete it.

Data Protection Authority

We are of course happy to help further if you have complaints about the processing of your personal data. Under privacy legislation, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) about this processing of personal data.
